Dr. Michalis (Michael) Feidakis, Lecturer/Senior Researcher /Team Leader
M ichael has a degree from the Dept of Informatics (Athens University of Economics, www.aueb.gr), an MSc in Multimedia and Web Programming (Loughborough University, UK, www.lboro.ac.uk) and a PhD with distinction from the Department of Cultural Technology & Communication (University of the Aegean, www.aegean.gr). His professional career began in 1998 as a part-time junior Oracle developer at DBS SA (www.dbs.gr) and then as a Web Developer at European Dynamics (www.eurodyn.com). In 2003, he was appointed as an Informatics teacher until 2017, while during the period 2004-2008, he also joined the Information Society of the Ministry of Education. Since 10/2017, he has been working as a Lecturer at the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (University of West Attica, www.uniwa.gr). He has taught for over 20 years, at all levels of formal and non-formal education (Primary, Secondary, High Schools, Vocational Schools, Education & Training Institutes, etc.). Since 2015, he is a Certified Trainer at the National School of Public Administration and Local Government (ESDDA). He has over 20 years of experience in Greek and European research programs (Information Society, FP7, Horizon 2020, Erasmus+, etc.). His research interests focus on the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Education Technology, for which he has published more than 40 articles in international and national journals and conferences.
