We make animals

This activity belongs to collection "Special Education" and aims to enable a child to:

  • Develop symbolic play skills
  • To attend NAO
  • Look at the images referred to by NAO.
  • Imitate NAO's behavior (movement and sound)

Description

In this activity, they will play a role-playing game pretending to be various animals (cow, frog, dog, elephant, mouse, gorilla, bird). The first three animals are familiar to many children from imitation games, while the others are less common. NAO will point to the image with its hand, say the name of an animal, and demonstrate its behavior, then encourage the student to do the same. The children then show one of the images to NAO by placing it in front of its camera, and NAO recognizes the animal and makes the corresponding movement and sound.

Steps

  • The activity begins with NAO standing upright at a distance of 50-80 cm from the child/children. The pictures of the animals will be placed around NAO as shown in the picture in the scenario.
