This activity belongs to collection "Special Education" and aims to enable a child to:
- Develop symbolic play skills
- To attend NAO
- Look at the objects referred to by NAO
- Imitate NAO's behavior
Description
The NAO and the child will play a variation of the game "peek-a-boo." In order to dance with the child, the robot will pretend to wear different clothes or accessories each time (jacket, belt, glasses, gloves, hat) and make corresponding movements. Then it will ask the child to imitate its behavior and pretend to get dressed too. It will tell the child each time to put on one of
the above clothes, will show him the movement again and will wait for the child to imitate it in order to reinforce it. (duration 10′)
Steps
The activity begins with NAO standing upright at a distance of 50-80 cm from the child/children. The objects are placed in front of NAO as shown in the image in the scenario.
